What We Accomplished at Our first Session

Hi There,
A few weeks have flow by and it is time for getting ready for the next meeting. How time flies! Today I am going to post some pictures of the fun we all had. We are still working with fabric scraps, and must say coming up with some great combinations in color and design.

As you will see in the photos projects we are working on are very, very simple.  At this stage, our focus is sewing and learning very basic skills. Our design choices are all straight lines, no curves, angles, sharp points - yet, ha ha.

As the comfort level grows so will the project choices, so please don't feel intimidated. Our times together are spent working on common goals; getting to know one another, sewing and lots of laughter and story telling. that is a long time tradition of quilting circles. Yes, there is coffee in the the background and a goodie to keep up our strength.

This coming week we will be working on sewing on the borders of the quilts pictured, as well as a few others, (which we were sewing strips together for last time) and the backing, etc...

Once these are finished they will be placed on the alter for prayer, then sent by courier to Life alliance to be given to the families of life donors. How Awesome is that! And then we begin again and again, there is no end.

  1. Recently I have had the opportunity to share many photos of our quilting ministry, it brings back nice memories of women who joined us a time or two. Ladies, please do stop in sometime to see what we're working on, there's always room for one more!
